I moved to the east coast from Seattle, WA nearly 10 years ago, and was married in 2000. Progressive Rock is my main musical interest, but I like bits of just about everything. I played drums for around 14 years, and took a couple years of music theory/music engineering in college.
Before all that, the first music program I ever used was for the Atari 400, it was pretty difficult to enter notes on it. It didn't have a normal keyboard, and you had to type in all the values for each note one at a time, 3-4 characters for each one. The sound came out as sort of just "bleeps" and "bloops" ....but it was fun to use.
Then years later while I was in college, I started using Master Tracks Pro on an Atari 1040ST, since that's what we used in the classes for midi sequencing. That was the late '80s, but these days I use Cakewalk's Sonar 7 Studio.
The music I make is instrumental, and is usually leaning towards progressive rock. I like making some electronic stuff here and there and some others. I plan on getting more material up here soon.
I use Wusikstation 4 all the time, I highly recommend it.
Just lately Viral Outbreak is my favorite soundset for it, and I also use Battery 3, and various other soft-synths.
